Technology relief for administration purposes under Corporations Act

Technology relief for administration purposes under Corporations Act

The temporary relief measures that allow companies to utilise technology to hold virtual meetings and use electronic communications to meet the corporations act requirements has been extended by the government until 31 March 2022.

The intent of the legislation allows companies to meet their compliance requirements within the Covid environment.

We are hopeful that this will lead to some longer term reforms to allow companies to utilise technology for the future to record meetings, sign documents and undertake all of the necessary administration without the need for paper forms and in person meetings.
